Oklahoma Rep proposes resolution blaming bad economy on gays

I’m not a comedian, I’ve never been paid to tell a joke.  But, because I have a pulse, I do know what “funny” is.

For the past 10 years or so, Adult Swim (Cartoon Network’s night time alter-ego) has been trying to sell what funny is, or I guess should be, according to them.  As I’m sure it has been said before… “That’s not funny”.

America is on an out-of-control spiral into penis jokes mixed with random-thoughts-of-an-idiotic-Hollywood-douchebag humor.  And you idiots out there are eating it up!

Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job:  This is, quite possibly the largest bag of shit that’s ever hit Television.  Believe it or not, this ass-fest actually has FANS.  People that turn on their TV’s and actually WATCH the show.  I caught an episode a few months ago, thinking “I’ll give this a shot”.   My thoughts?  This isn’t even a comedy show.  There are no funny parts, no humor at all.  Just a long loosely strung together list of awkward and sexually ambiguous circumstances.

The Boondocks:  Another Adult Swim trophy of fail.  Apparently, this network is under the impression that America still wants to hear “black guys are like this, white guys are like that” jokes.  Yeah… That was funny when Richard Pryor did it, 30 years ago.  Now, I’m sure someone will claim that this show is some kind of edgy satire or brilliant showcasing of racism and how it is still alive today, or some such whining…  Don’t bother with the hate mail, if you want to stop racism, STOP MAKING SHOWS THAT ILLUSTRATE STEREOTYPICAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RACES.

As long as the American public continues to watch this crap, Hollywood will continue to pump it out.  It all comes down to dollars.  And the stupidity doesn’t stop here!  Full feature movies are moving in this direction.  Borat, Scary Movie (actually ANYTHING that has a Wayans brother’s name attached to it), Talladaga Nights, Epic Movie, Little Nicky, and countless others are only proliferating the decay of humor.

Anyone ever seen Idiocracy?  It’s funny because it’s HAPPENING.  Wake up people!  Hollywood is TELLING you what funny is, and you are unquestionably buying it!

The reason this video is shocking (to those of you who know what a browser is) is because we assume that the proliferation of internet use has, in some way, educated people about the fundamental workings of the web and software. This is, clearly, completely untrue.

Don’t forget developers/site designers/UI folks, just because your mom can use Facebook to send you messages, doesn’t mean she has any idea of how the tubes really work…

Subject: A Stimulus Story

It is the month of August, on the shores of the Black Sea. It is raining, and the little town looks totally deserted. It is tough times, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.

Suddenly, a rich tourist comes to town.

He enters the only hotel, lays a 100 Euro note on the reception counter, and goes to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one.

The hotel proprietor takes the 100 Euro note and runs to pay his debt to the butcher.

The Butcher takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay his debt to the pig grower.

The pig grower takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay his debt to the supplier of his feed and fuel.

The supplier of feed and fuel takes the 100 Euro note and runs to pay his debt to the town’s prostitute that in these hard times, gave her “services” on credit.

The hooker runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with the 100 Euro note to the hotel proprietor to pay for the rooms that she rented when she brought her clients there.

The hotel proprietor then lays the 100 Euro note back on the counter so that the rich tourist will not suspect anything.

At that moment, the rich tourist comes down after inspecting the rooms, and takes his 100 Euro note, after saying that he did not like any of the rooms, and leaves town.

No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now without debt, and looks to the future with a lot of optimism….

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is doing business today.

The reason it’s funny, is because it’s accurate. Now THAT’S scary.
